Week 19 of The Big Build. We're starting to get into the fun stuff now. Bulldozers level the ground in preparation for the cement foundation being poured next week.

It's starting to become more clear.
Things are moving along for Swiss XL: The Big Build. The trees have been cleared and the bulldozers have moved in, leveling the ground and hauling away the excess dirt. The large cement sewer pipes were just delivered this morning, too. It definitely looks like a construction site now!
From the onset of this construction project we have been mindful of the surrounding areas as much as possible. The row of trees between our Windsor Avenue parking lot and the new building will remain, leaving a small buffer from our facility and the street. Also, there will be a separate entrance for the Swiss Uniforms delivery trucks. Our vehicles will use Regan Road, and not Windsor Avenue.
Swiss Uniform Services Goes Extra Large.
Swiss Uniform Services has finalized plans to build a state-of-the-art uniform facility in Rockville, Connecticut. Construction gets underway in July of 2016, with Pelletier Builders taking the lead. The design for the approximately 19,000 sq. ft. building will allow for Swiss Uniform Services to more than double their capacity to sort, deliver, and store uniforms, mats, and other dust control items more efficiently. Expected to be completed in the spring of 2017, the building will feature new environmentally-friendly processes and equipment. Upon completion, Swiss Uniform Services plans to hire additional staff to help with the expected demands.
Swiss also owns and operates a full-service Dry Cleaning & Laundry Home Delivery business. The new uniform facility will connect to the dry cleaners building headquarters, located at 35 Windsor Avenue. In an effort to alleviate congestion with customer parking, an alternate parking lot entrance will be installed and used exclusively by Swiss Uniform Services delivery vehicles.
